buon giorno!

ciao!
im finally here in Italy and it has been so crazy already and it is only the 4th day here. The buildings and architecture and the streets are so unique and amazing. i still cannot believe i am in the most beautiful city!! being stuck in the airplane for 13 hours and then finally arriving in italy was such a crazy feeling. walking on to the streets and hearing a different language you have no clue about and the busy streetswhere the cars and taxis do not stop for pedestrians. i loved the excitement of finally being in this counrty that i have dreamed about for so long and i still cannot grasp that i am HERE!! :)

day one: so the first few days were kinda stressful i was stuck in the airport for seven hours with three other people from my group who had also flown alone and waited until the final group arrived and we could go to our apartments in florence. the next night when we had finally settled in and unpacked into our new home for the month i terrible feeling occurred. me and my roomates were stuck out of our apartment. sooo to get inside our actual apartment we have to go through three door with a total of 5 locks to be opened.....ahhhh so two of our keys broke and one little piece got stuck into our apartment lock which did not allow us to get into our apartment. the land lord was very grummpy and would not help us :( so anyways they finally came and had to replace the entire lockthat was broken and it was really stressful because it was our firstday in italy and we thought we were gonna get introuble and have to pay for it so the trip started off rocky but i finally relaxed got organized found my way around italy with the help of maps and asking a lot of questions to the florentines. haha

soo days 2-3: orientation meeting, a wine reception with our group and teachers, a walking day tour around the central part of florence, dinner at house of sizzle and the club that was right next door... it was our first night we all got trashed together as a group. hahah....going to the market with martha and stocking up our apartment with food, getting ready at our apartment with the girlies and drinking white wine with fresh strawberries, walking around the empty quiet streets in florence in the middle of the night lost and having our own adventures and sneak into a beautiful hotel and take pictures on these red queen like chairs...getting laughed at by martha randomly cuz i say nothing important or start dancing randomly or become real lazy and complain about everything. :) so far everything has been so spontaneous and exciting. i real real good time.

what is coming up... this weekened we are planning to go to venice, see the pisa, cinque terra, and explore some beaches in the north part of Italy :) sooo excited .....oh i forgot to mention the reasonwhy i am here....SCHOOL. haha ive had my feature article and travel writing class and italian cinema where we have watched bicycle theif and The nights of Cabiria. i am very thankful that i have such fun and interesting teachers who do not make these classes to hard while we are in italy!
yay okay done with my post for today... ill keep posting more updates on my trips and hopefully post some pics

so nervous...

i leave for italy bright and early tommorrow morning and you may think that i am packed and all ready to go. but for some reason i am procrastinating which is not like me! i am so excited for this month long study abroad trip but for some reason i cannot make my self put all my clothes that are on the floor into my luggage. something is missing and i dont know what else i need to make my trip complete. i am scarred and nervous and excitied. i dont want to lose my passport my money my bags or be TAKEN while i am in ITALY. :) i will miss my family and my sisters who are my life and my love and bestie! but i know that they will miss me too and skype will be my savior! so my luggage is getting lonely and needs to be filled and ready to live for a month so i will prograstinate no more and get ready for this amazing experience.
